The E-Cig Lingo

There are many terms that have been associated with electronic cigarettes that are in common use by e-smokers since the devices have come out. The following is a collection of the most common lingo used.

Analog Cigarette
The name of the "old fashion" tobacco burning cigarette

Atomizer/Atty
The portion of electronic cigarette hardware that heats Smoke Juice into a vapor.

Cart/Cartridge
A cartridge for an electronic cigarette. A blank cart is one with only filling material, and no juice.

Drip, Dripping
Bypassing a cartridge and dropping Smoke Juice directly onto the atomizer. We do not recommend using this method.

Dry Smoking
Usually done when the atomiser is flooded with solution. The mouth piece is removed, the cartridge is taken out and the empty mouyhpiece is replaced and then inhaled. It should be noted that are must be used to avoid damaging the atomiser by over heating it.

ECA
The Electronic Cigarette Association. A group of industry leaders, retailers, suppliers, and e-smokers, as well as elected officials, fighting to make sure electronic cigarettes stay legal and available.

E-liquid/Smoke Juice/Nic Juice
The liquid used in electronic cigarettes that contains distilled water,propylene glycol, or glycerine, flavoring, and nicotine. Smoke Juice provides vapor as well as flavor.

Pass-Through
The manuel USB pass through is an incredible devise. It puts out a great deal of vapor and also acts like a spare battery. It has a battery inline that is charged by the USB port and then can be used while sitting at your computer. I wouldn't be without one.

Personal Vaporizer or PV
An altername for the electronic cigarette

PG, Propylene Glycol
The ingredient in most eliquid recipes that produces vapor. Propylene Glycol, or PG, is on the FDA's list of substances generally recognized as safe, and is used in everything from fog machines to artificial flavors.

VG, Vegetable Glycerine
An ingredient often used with PG or on its own in E-Juice. Vegetable Glycerine is a clear, colorless, thick liquid with a natural, moderately sweet taste. 100% food grade vegetable glycerine is comprised of 99.7% fatty esters, made from either coconut or palm oil. The remaining 0.3% of vegetable glycerine is water.

Vaporhog
Someone that vapes 36mg/ml (or stronger) 20 to 22 hours a day and consumes in excess of 6ml of juice per day. (or similar excesses)

Vaporpimp
(sounds bad but it ain't necessarily) is a reseller posing as newbie, dropping hints about his product. (Generally found on the forums.)

Vaporhoe 
(don't know ??? Nobody wants to go there... hmmmmmmmm)
